Alli willing to take on any Spurs role for Pochettino

Spurs midfielder Dele Alli has said that he is enjoying playing under Mauricio Pochettino so much that he would be happy to play in any position across the pitch for the team.

The England international has been in superb form of late, scoring five goals in January as Tottenham surged up the Premier League table into second place, nine points behind Chelsea.

The north Londoners lost to Manchester United back in December and they have won seven of their nine games since, including beating the league leaders 2-0 at White Hart Lane.

Despite his own stunning performances, Alli says their resurgence has been a team effort that has come about as a result of the faith they put in their manager.

“I think the whole team played brilliantly last month, we really played well as a team and we just clicked really well,” the 20-year-old said.

“Now we’re coming to the final part of the season so it’s important that we go into it strong as a team, play well, win games and pick up as many points as we can.”

“We’ve got a great manager here, he’s really tactical so whenever he changes it you have a lot of trust in what he’s doing and you just go out there and play,” he said.

“I’m happy to be out there, I’d play in any formation and any position for this team and I’m happy to help the team by getting some goals.”
