Schmeichel insists Leicester City are together
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel insists the squad at the King Power Stadium is as resolute and together as ever despite their recent poor form.
The Danish keeper warned that the club were in a relegation dogfight after their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, labelling the performance unacceptable.
The Foxes face a crunch relegation battle against Swansea City on Sunday looking to build on any momentum gathered from their 3-1 extra-time success over local rivals Derby County in the FA Cup.
New signing Wilfred Ndidi and Demarai Gray scored two impressive efforts in midweek but three points in Wales at the weekend would prove even more valuable to Ranieri’s men.
“Our togetherness has always been there – it’s unwavering,” Schmeichel said.
“It’s not something that you just lose. We’ve been in great situations and we’ve been in tough situations and those types of things bond you together.

“It’s important that we stick together and we will because that’s we always done and that’s what has brought us success. It’s obviously important.
“We need a result like in every other Premier League game. That’s mentality that you have to have.
“You can’t look at what’s after that because in the Premier League if you have focus somewhere other than the game, you’re going to lose.”
