Okaka and Deeney have hit it off at Watford
Stefano Okaka has scored just three goals since joining Watford, but the Italian striker insists his relationship with captain Troy Deeney is blossoming.
The 27-year-old moved to Vicarage Road in January and was expected to replace the departed Odion Ighalo – whose goals played a major part in Watford’s Premier League survival a year ago.
Three goals in ten games may not be a disaster, but Okaka has failed to inspire the Hornets – who have won just two games from their last ten and sit safely in 13th.

But Okaka believes the Hertfordshire club are on the verge of turning things round and recapturing their early season form – with his partnership with Deeney the driving force.
“Me and Troy, we have a good relationship and you can see it on the pitch,” he said.
“Every time, I tried to find him and vice versa; I gave him the assist for the first goal against Southampton, he gave me a lot of balls back too.
“We have to keep working like this because we can do very well in the last part of the season.”
