Dyche confident Burnley away blues will end

Burnley may have a woeful away record this season but manager Sean Dyche insist they have lost none of their belief as they gear up for another away battle this weekend.

The Clarets are yet to win a game away from home in any competition this season, but their excellent home record means Premier League survival is likely as they sit 12th in the table – an excellent achievement considering they were may bookies’ tips to go straight back down after promotion last year.

This weekend may present their best chance of a road victory this season as they travel to Sunderland, who look destined for the drop as they sit six points off 17th-placed Crystal Palace.

And boss Dyche says that, although they lost 2-1 at Liverpool last weekend, they remain confident victory is close.

“We haven’t lost any belief and we certainly feel that the result is just around the corner,” he said.

“We keep working hard, keep believing in what we’re doing, keep giving everything that we’ve got for the shirt, again the fans here were incredible and we haven’t lost belief in what we’re about.

“We’ve gone close again at Liverpool and hopefully the three points will be there on Saturday.”
