Allardyce targets 14th-place finish for Eagles
Sam Allardyce’s objective is clear for the remainder of Crystal Palace’s Premier League season, saying they will aim for enough points to finish 14th in the table.
The Eagles continue to hover just above the relegation zone, but their manager is convinced they can climb to the top of the bottom seven teams.
After suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat to Sunderland and defeat to Stoke in early February, the London side have won their last two Premier League matches.
Palace face Watford at home on Saturday, who are without a win in their last three games and sit just above Allardyce’s mini-league of seven.
As he completes his third month in charge of the club, Allardyce believes teams like Watford could still be brought down into the relegation scrap.

And the former England manager explained that he sees these seven games as its own separate league and will focus on topping after Palace’s last 11 fixtures.
He said: “We need to finish top of a league of seven at the bottom of the table and even one or two above that may drop in if we continue with good results, or Leicester and Swansea continue to pick up victories.
“This would drag one or two more into the group but to try and finish at the top of that bottom seven is our aim and that would be fantastic.”
