Cork backs Swans to find their rhythm
Swansea City may be reeling from two high-profile departures from the Liberty Stadium, but midfielder Jack Cork insists there is still plenty more the Swans have to offer.
Francesco Guidolin’s side were dealt a double blow in the transfer window, losing Andre Ayew to West Ham while club captain Ashley Williams made the switch to Ronald Koeman’s Everton.
They were departures which Cork admits have taken some time to adjust to, although they have been at least partially offset by Borja Bastón and Fernando Llorente arriving from Spain, while the Swans also signed Leroy Fer from QPR.
It’s a transitional period the 27-year-old Cork believes will take time adjusting to, with just one point from their two games to date – despite playing Premier League newboys Burnley and Hull City.

“We are a side that is still gelling together, we have lost some big players over the past few weeks,” he said.
“Despite the defeat (to Hull) I think we are playing well. We did play some good football and feel unlucky not to have come away with something from the game.
“We had a lot of the ball but they played a defensive shape and made it tough for us. We struggled to break them down and they made it difficult for us in the final third.
“We created some good chances in the first half and needed to take them. We had a lot of the ball but could not finish it in the final third and they made the most of their chances on the counter.”
