Funes Mori inspired by Koeman
Everton’s Argentine defender Ramiro Funes Mori admits he is still pinching himself after Ronald Koeman’s summer arrival at Goodison Park.
Mori has already established himself as central to Koeman’s plans, with Everton making an unbeaten start to the season, following wins over Stoke and West Brom and a share of the spoils with Tottenham.
Mori said: “You have to listen to Ronald because, when he speaks to me, he teaches me.
“He was a really good player so you have to listen to him and consider what he tells you. Everything he knows is from experience.”

Mori, 25, also insists he will only get better this season, after his involvement in the Copa America – where he was part of the Argentina side that lost the final on penalties to Chile – delayed his arrival for pre-season.
He added: “I’m getting sharper and sharper but the other players were two or three weeks ahead of me.
“I’m feeling better physically, technically and in every aspect.
“We have had tough games but, overall, we have started well with a draw against Tottenham and then a few wins and hopefully we can get more good results after the international break.
“I came back a little bit later but I have managed to get used to the rhythm of training and playing games again.”
