Hazard relishing winning feeling under Conte
Eden Hazard has shown glimpses of his best form under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and believes the Italian is regenerating a title-winning mentality at Stamford Bridge.
After last season’s infamous blip, the 2014/15 Premier League champions have opened this campaign with two victories – although they left it late to snatch three points against both West Ham and Watford.
Hazard was instrumental in both games, scoring a penalty in a man-of-the-match performance against the Hammers before assisting Michy Batshuayi for Chelsea’s equaliser on Saturday against the Hornets.
And the 25-year-old Belgian insists that the Chelsea squad’s attitude is back in the right place under Conte.
“He’s a good manager, he believes in his team and we try to give everything for him,” he said. “We want to win for the fans too.
“It’s early. We have a good team, there are a lot of good teams in the Premier League and we will see at the end, but of course we want to be the champions.
‘The attitude is fantastic, even in training everyone wants to win games. That’s why now we are winning.
“It’s just the start of the season but if we want to stay at the top we have to win. Both Manchester teams won, we had to win and we did.
“Two great games, we won two games, I am happy and I want to do my best for this team.”
