Okazaki: Arsenal display showed our true colours
Leicester City may be sitting with just one point to their name so far, but Shinji Okazaki believes the performance against Arsenal was their way of getting back to their champion best.
The Foxes began the defence of their title with a surprise defeat at newly-promoted Hull City, but responded with a 0-0 stalemate against last season’s runners-up Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.
But rather than be disappointed with dropping points at home, Okazaki was keen to reflect on a point gained from last season – and believes the draw showed exactly why the Foxes clinched the title under Claudio Ranieri.

“[It was] a great game,” he said. “It’s very important for us because this game was a very tough match but we had good spirit and we played like last season. We were together.
“I think the last game was not so together in terms of pressing but we improved. We were so tight and together so when I was pressing, the team were pressing too.
“This is important to us. In the first half it was a good game and in the second half we wanted to win so we took a few more risks.
“Both teams took risks. If we’d have scored, we’d have won, if they’d have scored, they’d have won. This is football.
“Last season we didn’t get a point against Arsenal but it was a tough match and it’s important for us to get that clean sheet too.”
