Ranieri suggests more transfer business possible

Poland winger Bartosz Kapustka may not be the final signing of the summer for Claudio Ranieri with the Leicester City manager hinting more business could yet be completed.

Kapustka had his first run out with the Foxes in their 4-2 defeat to Barcelona in Stockholm, last night, as another of their summer signings, Ahmed Musa, scored twice.

But La Liga champions Barcelona were comfortable winners at the Friends Arena thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Rafael Mujica, and a brace from Munir El Haddadi.

Ranieri has made five signings in total this summer, with defensive midfielder Nampalys Mendy, goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and defender Luis Hernandez all joining the Premier League champions.

“It’s difficult to say ‘yes everything is finished’,” said Ranieri.

“Maybe something could happen during this final market if we had the opportunity to improve our squad, but at the moment we are okay.”

It’s been a busy summer at the King Power Stadium with speculation over Riyad Mahrez’s future at the club remaining uncertain.

N’Golo Kante has already stepped through the exit door to join Chelsea but star striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract with the Foxes, despite interest from Arsenal.

Leicester City take on Manchester United in the Community Shield at Wembley, on Sunday.
