Rondon thriving with a little help from his friends
Venezuelan forward Salomon Rondon’s superb form is all down to his increased confidence at West Brom according to skipper Darren Fletcher.
Rondon arrived from Zenit St Petersburg last year and despite performing well, Fletcher claims he is primed to take the league by storm now that he is settled at the Baggies.
Tony Pulis had Rondon to thank for their season-opening 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhust Park, the ex-Zenit man rising highest to head home with 16 minutes left.

And Captain Fletcher could not speak highly enough about the way Rondon had started to fit in at the Hawthorns.
“He came from the Russian league and didn’t speak the language but he is now mixing with the squad a lot more and he’s a lot more confident,” ex-Man United man Fletcher said.
“He looks fit and strong and is definitely in better condition than he was last season which is good to see.
“Salo was fantastic. He ran the line, held the ball up and battled really well against their two centre-backs.
“I thought he was a great player for us last season but this season he looks even better.
“I think Salomon would tell you that too.”
