Stanislas: Sky’s the limit for Cherries
Many believe Bournemouth were punching above their weight just by staying in the Premier League last season, but midfielder Junior Stanislas believes Eddie Howe’s influence on the Cherries means there is no limit to their capabilities.
Stanislas missed Bournemouth’s season opening defeat to Manchester United with a groin injury, but the 26-year-old has signed a deal to keep him at Dean Court until 2019.
The winger scored five times in 24 appearances for the Cherries last term, including the opener in victory over Manchester United and two late strikes in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Everton.
It was those performances which kept Bournemouth comfortably afloat in their debut season, but now Stanislas believes there is plenty more to come after their 16th-placed finish last term – both from him and the team.

“I haven’t had the best of starts with the injury but hopefully that’s behind me now and I can get my fitness up and help the team,” he said.
“Personally, for me, I want to improve on last year. More goals, more assists and help push the team forward that way.
“In terms of the team, I think the sky’s the limit. We will all want to look to improve our league position from last year.
“Both the manager and I are looking forward and trying to improve me as a better player – which I am sure I can do under him.”
