Cork wants repeat of Swans’ fighting spirit
Captain Jack Cork wants the levels of pride and passion demonstrated in Swansea’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea repeated throughout the rest of the season.
The Swans fell behind to an 18th-minute Diego Costa goal on Sunday but two goals in three second-half minutes helped put them ahead at the Liberty Stadium.
Costa’s second denied the Welsh side all three points but they did move up to 13th in the Premier League table and denied Chelsea their fourth straight victory.
And Cork hopes to see more of that Swansea character when they face Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal in the coming weeks.
“We showed a bit of passion and fight in the second half and, hopefully, that’s what we can produce for the rest of the season,” said Cork.

“We needed to get going after Hull and Leicester and not lose three on the bounce. We played without any fear in the second half and showed that we can play better.”
“Playing against the bigger teams seems to suit us better. I think it’s because the pressure comes off us.
“This was always going to be a tough period, but if we can get a few points from these next few tough games it will be a big bonus for the games after.”
