Pereyra on swapping Pogba and Buffon for Watson and Cathcart
Roberto Pereyra spent last season playing alongside some of the world’s best players in the likes of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba but this summer he has swapped a Champions League title challenge for a Premier League dogfight.
Pereyra is an Argentina international who has spent the last two years playing for Juventus, doing the domestic double in both of his seasons in Turin.
However, the 25-year-old joined Watford this summer in a deal believed to be worth £13m and made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut.
And while England and the Premier League may be a new experience for him, he will see a few familiar faces around the boardroom.

Pereyra started his career at River Plate before he was brought to Europe by Udinese – the club owned by the same Pozzo family that took over the Hornets in 2012.
And the midfielder said: “I’m very happy because it’s a great opportunity for me to be here and show my qualities, and I’m looking forward to this new adventure.
“It’s a very competitive league and they [the club’s hierarchy] told me already it’s a very nice group here and I came here and saw it for myself.
“It’s a great league and I’m very happy to be here.”
