Albrighton: Leicester must create their own luck

Leicester City must start creating their own luck, according to winger Marc Albrighton, if they’re to turn around their disappointing away form in the Premier League.

The Foxes’ 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge was their fourth consecutive away defeat in the league, after losses to Hull City, Liverpool and Manchester United earlier this season.

The reigning champions have conceded 13 goals in those four away games, with Chelsea taking just seven minutes to break the deadlock on Saturday.

And although there was some fortune in the ricochet that led to Chelsea’s second, Albrighton was making no excuses for their slow start to the new season.

“I’m a keen believer that you create your own luck,” he said.

“Last year, we had the rub of the green on many occasions, which I feel like we created ourselves, we were working hard all over the field and things start going for you when it’s like that.

“But if you’re not doing the basics and not fighting as well as you can things go against you.”

The Foxes welcome FC Copenhagen to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday as they look to continue their 100 per cent start to their Champions League campaign.
