Bolasie already calling the tunes at Everton

Yannick Bolasie’s influence is clear to see out on the pitch since his arrival at Everton from Crystal Palace in the summer.

But behind the scenes the winger has also been calling the tunes for the Blues according to his teammates.

Bolasie has wasted little time in becoming the team’s dressing room DJ and his passion for Grime has been a key factor in their strong start to the season.

“Yannick has come in and put nice music in the dressing room,” grinned Kevin Mirallas.

Romelu Lukaku added: “He was the one who put the music on in the dressing room before the Sunderland game – since then we have left it to him.”

And Bolasie is delighted his taste in music has paid dividends already, although the 27-year-old admits on the pitch the Toffees have yet to see the best of him.

“I wanted to come here to challenge myself and I was aware that the manager and director of football wanted me here too,” he said.

“I played a couple of games at Goodison Park and had good performances, so I thought why not come here to challenge myself.

“I’m still trying to settle in but it’s going well for myself personally. I still feel I can do a lot more than I’m showing but hopefully that will come in time.”
