Don’t look at the Premier League table, Forshaw orders Middlesbrough team-mates
Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw has told his team-mates to ignore their position in the Premier League table because they will soon be on the rise.
Boro have lost four of their last five matches and are 17th in the table, outside the relegation zone by virtue of goal difference.
Next time out they travel to Arsenal and also are set to meet Manchester City, Chelsea and champions Leicester City before the end of November.
But Forshaw, 25, has belief that Middlesbrough’s fortunes will soon change.
“The group is great,” he said “We’ve got a fantastic set of lads.
“We’re all fighting for each other and I think it’s a matter of time before we start adding more points.

“We’ve just got to approach every game on the weekends and try to pick up points.
“Looking at the table does absolutely nothing for you, it’s what happens on the pitch and that’s the main thing.”
Boro have earned just a single point in front of their own fans this term, that came against Stoke City on the opening day.
On Sunday they were beaten 1-0 by Watford at the Riverside Stadium, but Forshaw felt his team deserved some reward for their performance.
“For half-an-hour in the first half we were positive and forward-thinking and on another day we could’ve won the game, never mind drawn it,” added Forshaw.
“We came out the blocks quite well with a few half-chances and should maybe have taken a couple of them. In terms of play we definitely deserved more on the day.”
