Emre insists nobody Can do it like Liverpool’s Milner
German Emre Can may come from the land where penalties are relished rather than feared, but the Liverpool midfielder has claimed James Milner is unrivalled from the spot.
Though it has been over 40 years since Can’s national side last lost a penalty shootout, he believes Milner is master of the art.
Liverpool’s vice-captain, 30, has never missed a penalty for Liverpool and Can says he puts in the hours on the training field to ensure he is spot on come matchday.
“I’m young, but I haven’t seen in any of my teams so far such a good penalty taker. In training, every ball is in the net. He’s a very, very good penalty taker,” 22-year-old Can insisted.

Milner’s switch from midfield to left-back this season has been one of the stories of the Jurgen Klopp era and, Can is full of admiration for the way the ex-Man City man has taken it in his stride.
“It has surprised a lot of people, because it’s not easy to play at left-back from midfield,” Can said.
“But Millie did it very well and I think he has scored more goals than last year in this time. He’s a very important player for us. He has to keep going like that and the team has to keep going like that.”
