Kaboul adamant more Watford clean sheets are coming
Younes Kaboul claims he takes great pleasure in keeping clean sheets and is convinced Watford will be able to get on a roll now they have broken their duck.
Having failed to stop the opposition from scoring all season, Watford’s defence finally got the job done on Sunday as they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 to climb to tenth in the Premier League table.
Centre-back Kaboul made his fifth appearance of the campaign at the Riverside as Jose Holebas’ second-half screamer secured the three points.
The Hornets relied on a solid rearguard action to maintain their one-goal advantage but successfully kept a clean sheet for the first time since downing West Brom 1-0 back in April.

And Kaboul insists the whole defence are satisfied after doing their job against Boro.
“It gives us some pride,” said Kaboul. “As a defender when you play a game of football the first thing you think is don’t concede a goal.
“If you don’t concede you might win the game, that is the mentality of a defender. So the next game, again, the target is a clean sheet every time.
“We were looking for a clean sheet [against Middlesbrough] because we haven’t had one yet this season. So to get one, away from home, is good but it is not finished as I think we can do much better.”
