Crooks: Palace star Zaha could play for Real Madrid
Garth Crooks insists Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is talented enough to play for Real Madrid – if he was more consistent.
Zaha scored an outstanding goal as Palace came from behind to earn a 3-3 draw at Hull City, with a thumping finish from the edge of the box.
The 24-year-old started his career with the Eagles before moving to Manchester United, but he quickly returned to South London after a dismal 12 months at Old Trafford.

Undoubtedly talented, Zaha has struggled to impose himself with regularity and his goal at the KCOM Stadium was just his third of the season.
And Crooks thinks the wideman could play for any team in the world, if only he could produce more man-of-the-match displays.
“This lad is capable of unbelievable things, the only problem is you don’t know when the unbelievable is going to happen. Against Hull he was unplayable,” he said.
“Thank goodness Zaha is capable of producing the occasional performance like this. I suppose if he did this every week, he’d be playing for Real Madrid and not Crystal Palace.”
