Mustafi desperate for Arsenal to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez
Shkodran Mustafi is desperate to see Alexis Sanchez prolong his stay at Arsenal but admits he could get into any club in the world.
Mustafi has played just one season alongside the former Barcelona man after joining the Gunners from Valencia last summer.
The Chilean scored 30 goals and supplied 19 assists for the Gunners last season as Arsenal finished outside the top-four for the first time in 21 years.
Sanchez is said to be high on the shopping lists of Manchester City and Bayern Munich as he looks set to reject a new contract from Arsenal and leave the Emirates this summer.
And Mustafi, who is set to face Sanchez when Germany take on Chile in the Confederations Cup in Russia, revealed he would be gutted to see the sharpshooter depart.
“I hope he stays, it would be a pity to lose him,” the 25-year-old said.
“He is an extraordinary player, for me one of the best in the world.
“I have experienced few players who are as hungry as him. As soon as he is on the ball, everyone knows something can happen. Once he has made his way to the front of the goal, you will not be able to take the ball.
“He could play anywhere, even at Bayern.”
