Dyche insists Burnley will play by the book
Sean Dyche says his Burnley side will play honestly this season, even if they continue to get some poor refereeing decisions.
The Clarets were frustrated that Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko was not shown a red card for a high tackle during their clash on Sunday – before the Frenchman set up a winner for Danny Rose.
It has been suggested Burnley play with too much integrity but Dyche insists referees should not be conned by players pretending to be hurt, and is adamant his side will not change their ways.

“I think I know from years of playing, gamesmanship is different, I accept that,” he said.
“But there is a difference between gamesmanship and simulation. I don’t really want our players to roll around on the floor. If you get caught in the box and go down, that’s different.
“[Stephen] Wardy, another day, another player would have rolled around on the floor, it goes off and our players surround the ref. We didn’t do that, but you don’t get the decision so it’s frustrating.
“It’s not for me, just play the game in the right manner. I don’t think our fans want to see our players roll around on the floor either.”
