Chilwell: Leicester’s away crowd vital in FA Cup
Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell believes the Foxes fans could prove key to his side’s chances of overcoming local rivals Derby County in the FA Cup.
City meet the Rams at Pride Park Stadium on Friday night in front of the BBC TV cameras and will be Chilwell’s first taste of an East Midlands derby.
And the young left-back, who has been with the Foxes since he was 12, is excited to hear a strong vocal following add an extra dimension to the Fourth Round tie.
“The away fans are vital in these sorts of games. Especially our fans when we’re away from home, you can always hear them wherever they are in the ground,” he said.
“They’re always loud and help you out and when you score, it’s always nice to go over and celebrate in front of them.

“It will really help, especially with that many fans travelling to Derby. It’ll be a massive boost for the boys.
“You’ve got fans that have supported Leicester for years and years, and then you’ve got newer fans that are very passionate too. With Derby being such a local team, the rivalry goes back a long time.
“It’s close with wins and losses, so it’s a big game, but not just for us, but for the fans too. Everyone at Leicester wants to win this game.”
