Liverpool player of the month Mane adamant Reds are on the up
Liverpool may have suffered a largely frustrating February but Sadio Mane claims the club have turned a corner now that March is in full swing.
After returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty, Mane was a rare bright spot last month in disappointing away losses to Hull and Leicester, as well as netting a match-winning double in the 2-0 victory over Spurs.
That triumph kept the Reds in the top-four hunt and they convincingly beat Arsenal 3-1 last weekend, to further boost morale.

Mane has now reached double figures for goals this season and is looking forward after being named as Liverpool’s player of the month for February.
“I’m very happy to be nominated by the fans,” said Mane, upon receiving the prize. “I’m just looking forward to doing my best for the team.
“It was a difficult few weeks. We were struggling and it wasn’t easy for us, for the club and for the fans. But it’s part of football.
“Now it’s behind us and the confidence is back. We’re going to do our best until the end of the season to make the fans proud and happy.
“The support of the fans was amazing. We want to thank everybody for the amazing support. We’re looking forward to getting more support.”
